CLATUU FAT FREEZING

Before your treatment:

Before your treatment, you’ll have a consultation with our cosmetic physicians. During this consultation, we will discuss your areas of concern and expectations thoroughly with you and develop a tailored treatment plan. It may take as little as one treatment session to achieve your goals.
You may wish to proceed with your treatment immediately after this consultation, or you may prefer to book the treatment at a later date – either option is completely fine, and there is no obligation to commence treatment after the initial consultation.

During your treatment:
You’ll sit or lie back in a comfortable position on a chair in one of our treatment rooms, and the Matrix Gel Pad and applicator head will be expertly placed on the treatment area or areas. When the CLATUU 360° FREEZE machine is turned on, you may feel some pulling, tugging and/or mild pinching at first. This is because the machine uses a vacuum to draw the fatty tissue up into the applicator head. It’s likely that for the first five or ten minutes, you’ll feel intense cold in the treatment area as the applicator head begins to freeze the targeted fat. This is how you know it’s working its magic! These sensations are very tolerable and after five or ten minutes they will subside.

During the treatment, you can check your emails, watch some Netflix, read, or even enjoy having some time to yourself and have a nap! Our caring staff will bring you a drink and make sure you’re warm enough – the treatment can feel a little chilly at first!

There are no needles, no incisions and no need for anaesthetic.

After forty minutes to one hour, the machine will be turned off, and the applicator head and gel pad will be removed. The treated area will then be gently massaged.

After your treatment:

There is no downtime and no after-care required, so you can return to your regular daily activities immediately after the treatment session finished.

The science behind the procedure is called apoptosis. The medical definition of apoptosis is ‘the death of cells which occurs as a normal and controlled part of an organism’s growth or development’. It’s important to know that fat cells are far more vulnerable to the effects of cooling than other types of cells and tissue.

CLATUU 360° FREEZE harnesses the power of cooling by chilling fat cells to a temperature where the body’s natural apoptosis processes begin. In one session of CLATUU 360° FREEZE, between 20% and 25% on average of the fat cells in the treated area are damaged and then gradually and naturally eliminated from your body over the following 4-12 weeks. As a result, the fat deposits in the treated area are reduced in size (dramatically!), with no effect on the surrounding tissue or skin.

You might find it interesting to learn that losing weight is not the same thing as losing fat. What happens to the fat cells is very different.

Sometime during our teenage years, the quantity of adipocyte (fat) cells in our bodies becomes fixed. When we lose weight, we don’t actually lose or get rid of fat cells – the fat cells just shrink in size. When the figures on the scales start to creep up, the fat cells get bigger.

In contrast, CLATUU 360° FREEZE actually gets rid of fat cells – it doesn’t make fat cells smaller, it reduces (permanently) the quantity of total fat cells in the treated area by between 20% and 25%. These fat cells are gone for good! They won’t move to other areas of your body or be re-deposited but will be processed and eliminated from your body by its natural waste elimination processes.
