INTIMALASE VAGINAL TIGHTENING
Vaginal Tightening Treatment with IntimaLase
Helping women get their confidence back
Vaginal tightening treatments are the perfect solution for women who are self-conscious of their “down there,” or want great sex again. If you have noticed vaginal laxity, you are not alone. Vaginal relaxation syndrome (looseness of the vagina) is a very common condition for women, especially after childbirth. If you’ve considered Vaginoplasty (plastic surgery for the vagina), you’ve probably discovered how expensive and risky it is.
The great news is that About Face Brisbane has a much better solution: IntimaLase, 30-minute painless laser treatment with no side effects. You will feel like your old self again, or even better than before.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?
What Happens Before, During And After IntimaLase Treatment?
Before treatment:
You will meet Dr Campey who will discuss your concerns to see if IntimaLase is the right treatment for you. Before the treatment can proceed you need to provide to Dr Campey your latest Pap smear results (the results should be within the last 12 months or less).
You do not need to fast or have any blood tests done before the treatment. You must not be menstruating when having the procedure. The best time to have this treatment performed is during the first week following your period.
During treatment:
One of our female laser technicians, will be present throughout the whole procedure. They will also explain the IntimaLase process, after-care instructions and answer any questions you may have.
You will sit in a comfortable position on a treatment table in a private treatment room. You can wear your own clothes but a pair of shorts will be provided that has a small slit in them to ensure your comfort and privacy is maintained throughout the procedure. While your feet will be slightly elevated in stirrups, only a very small amount of skin on your lower body will be exposed thanks to the specially designed shorts.
A handpiece type speculum will be gently inserted into the vagina and a series of short, safe pulses will be targeted in the vaginal canal. This is painless and no incisions or anesthetic are required. With the procedure taking 30 minutes to be completed, you can even have this done on your lunch break or before kids get home from school.
Dr Campey will perform the IntimaLase laser treatment with Karen Campey present to explain each step and reassure any concerns you may have. Karen has been treated with IntimaLase and our patients tell us it’s very reassuring to have someone with first-hand experience explaining everything to them.
After treatment:
This is a simple walk-in walk-out procedure where you can get back to your usual daily routine right away. However, there is the chance of mild side effects such as slight redness and swelling and a discharge (transparent) for two to three days. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about. There is no bleeding, no stitches and no medications are necessary.
Below are the after-care requirements which you need to follow to ensure the treatment is successful:
- You must make sure there is no trauma to the area. No strenuous activities and no sexual intercourse for two weeks after the treatment.
- Do not use tampons for a period of four weeks after the procedure.
- The results of IntimaLase will take one to four months to take full effect.
This will be explained to you during your initial consultation with Dr Campey and some take-home information will be given to you as well.
Is IntimaLase Painful?
Depending on the thin tissue of the walls of the vagina some women may experience some mild discomfort (a burning or itching sensation) at the entrance to the vagina.
Dr Campey will discuss these concerns at your initial consultation to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

I’m Not Ready To Try Laser Treatments – Can I Tighten My Vagina Naturally?
Start by squeezing your internal pelvic muscles – the same ones that stop yourself from peeing when you don’t want to go straight away. You can do this inconspicuously and at your leisure. Try it the next time you use the toilet.
Once you have learned how to use these muscles repeat the exercise numerous times throughout the day.
We sell Kegel balls out our clinic for $55 including GST. However, Kegel exercises only work for the pelvic floor and they do not improve the tightness of the vaginal tissue. It is important to choose a professional clinic that uses high-quality laser machines that are used by fully qualified laser technicians and doctors.
At About Face Brisbane we offer superior results from our quality IntimaLase machine and expert advice from Dr Campey and Karen Campey – your comfort and satisfaction are our number one priority.
