Scarless mole removal – How is it done?
Dr Campey performs mole removal using laser, the type of laser depends on the mole. For example, darker moles are often treated with our KTP laser as this laser targets the pigment in the mole, causing it to dry up and flake away over the following weeks. Raised moles and moles with no pigment can be removed with an Erbium laser. The treatment method will be decided once Dr Campey assesses the mole.
What moles can be removed using laser mole removal?
Laser mole removal is for benign moles only. Dr Campey will refer you to a skin cancer clinic if the mole is not safe to treat.
What can you expect after your mole removal treatment?
The treated spot will be dry and slightly flaky up to a couple of weeks post-treatment.
